Why these grinds work

Two teachers. One subject. The whole course.

Maths grinds at Revise are taught by two working teachers, both with strong Leaving Cert experience. Carl Lynch has been teaching Maths since 1992 — over thirty years in the classroom — and has run Revise since 2007. Gerry Walsh has twelve years of teaching experience and runs the Junior Cert higher-level group.

The schedule is simple: one grind per week, every week, for 34 weeks of the school year. No gaps. No padding. Every topic on the syllabus covered before the exam — and the ones that come up most often, covered twice.

Every grind runs live each week. Can't make it in — a match, an away game, a late finish? Join the same grind live from home. And every grind is recorded, so anyone out sick can watch it back the same week. No-one falls behind.

Extra grinds added when it matters

An extra grind a week when the exams get close.

In the final six weeks before the exams, every group steps up to an extra grind a week — 3rd, 5th and both 6th Year. And the 6th Years get two more on top: one grind before Paper 1 and one before Paper 2, the weekend each paper falls. No extra cost — all included.

Included with every grind

Every grind comes with Mathslive, free.

Every Revise grinds student gets free access to Mathslive.ie, our complete online Maths platform — and it follows the grind exactly. Every topic taught in class is written up online too: full notes, worked examples, flashcards and exam-question practice.

So a student can revise the week's grind at home, go back over a hard topic the night before a test, and lean on it right up to the State exams. It's the grind on demand — free for as long as you're with us.

The promise

The whole course is covered. Every topic. Every year.

If a topic is on the syllabus, it gets taught. If a question type has come up in the State exams, it gets practised. No corners cut, no chapters skipped — that's the deal we've made with our students since 2007.

Frequently asked

A few things parents and students ask.

What if my child misses a grind?

Every grind is recorded. Students can watch back the same week — laptop, tablet, phone, however they want to. No-one falls behind because of a school trip or a sick day.

Can students join after September?

Yes — a student can start at any point in the year. Every grind already covered is recorded, so a late starter watches them back and catches up quickly. Get in touch and we'll work out the cost for the part of the year that's left.

Can the grind be combined with Study Membership?

Yes. The grind runs inside the Study Membership window, so members stay in the building. Combining the two is what the Plus Memberships are designed for.

What does "the whole course covered" actually mean?

Every chapter on the State Examinations Commission syllabus, taught in class, before the exam. Not "we'll see what we get to." We cover it all — and the high-frequency topics get extra time.

Grinds open for the coming term.
