Choose the location, Kilkenny or Online. Click on the tile of choice, Leaving or Junior Cert. Here you can assess the fees and look at the subject topics to be covered. You will be asked to choose the number of subjects (Please note Maths A & Maths B are both higher level and count as 2 separate subjects). Then you select your subject choices and fill in all your information.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. To be certain of your place and also to be sure that we have course notes printed for you it is important you book in advance.

What do you mean by study?

Study is a supervised environment where students can do their own work without disruption. Study times and breaks run inline with the timetable for the revision course. Students can attend study when they are not in their courses. Please note that students can only come and go during scheduled break times.

Why should I choose Revise?

Revise.ie has been successfully running revision courses for over 10 years. Our Teachers are incredibly talented and deliver exceptional quality content with informative revision booklets to complement it. The value for money of our course is second to none. Thanks to student feedback and excellent reviews over the years, we know what students want……and we deliver it always!

What are the revision notes like?

Our teachers put together outstanding quality revision booklets that will be invaluable in the lead up to your exams. All revision booklets are professionally printed and bound. These revision notes will be invaluable to you right up to and through your exam.

Anything else that makes Revise.ie stand out?

Yes. We don’t just provide elite level classes for our students. We also provide a place for them to work when not in class in our strictly supervised study area. At the end of our courses students constantly tell us that it was the most productive week of their entire time in school.

As an exam year student it’s essential to maintain a solid work rate, remember it’s a marathon not a sprint. With two weeks off at Christmas many students take the first week off then set a plan to get back to work the second week.

For the last 17 years students in Kilkenny have attended the Christmas revision course held by Revise.ie in order to make the most of the time out of school. This course covers a variety of subjects and helps to cover as much material as possible in four days in order to help students prepare for the upcoming mocks, and then for the real deal in June.

Now we plan to bring that same course to Athlone.

Before the Course

Visit our website www.Revise.ie and have a look at the timetable. We various subjects at both 3rd and 6th year level. The content for each subject is outlined, so have a look and see is there any areas in particular you are struggling with and see if this course can help you.

From there you simply book in online, selecting whatever subjects you wish to do!

What happens at the course?

On day one you get registered. This involves verifying the subjects you have signed up for and giving you a wristband for the week.

From there you simply follow your class timetable. When your subject is on you attend that class. If you have no classes you can attend supervised study. This is a quiet, study centred environment where students get their own work done. This is extremely popular with our students in Kilkenny. No disruptions are tolerated in order to allow everyone to study effectively.

At the beginning of each class on day one you will receive a set of high quality notes, specially designed by the subject teacher. These will be used throughout the week but are for you to keep, acting as a useful revision tool.

Each experienced teacher will use their own techniques that they know work best for their subject in order to help you get the most out of the course. They will focus on exam tips and tricks, covering the key aspects and material in order to help you as effectively as possible. All classes are 70 minutes long, with a 15 minute break between.

At the end of the course we obtain feedback from every student in order to help us learn and grow, and we have been doing this for the last 17 years! We have run over 53 courses in that time and helped countless students. Teachers are selected based on experience and reputation. They are the best of the best selected by people in the local area.

Over the course we ensure:

  • We have the best teachers
  • We provide the best notes
  • We offer an optimal student environment
  • We make sure you get the best out of the Christmas break

We offer exceptional value compared to other courses as you can see:

For Parents

If you are reading this you have some interest in sending you son or daughter to a revision course.

If I were a parent looking at this course I would ask myself why should I send my student to Athlone or Kilkenny and not send them to the centres in Dublin, Galway or Limerick. We know the other centres are really good?

Well the answer is an easy one. We are better. We really look after our students. We do small things that make a huge difference.

Obviously the most important part of any course is the teachers. We have never advertised for teachers. Most of our them are with us for years. Every new teacher only gets to join us after they have been highly recommended by people we know we can trust. Every  It might seem hard to believe but in the other ‘big’ centres it is a job and that’s it. With us it is a passion. Our reputation is more  important to us than anything else.

One area we put a huge effort is our supervised study. We were fed up of hearing of students going to Dublin and going to a class at 9am and then wandering around until their next class at 3.15pm due to lack of study spaces. Our students can do their class at 9am and then can go to our nice warm study room. Every student is guaranteed a space. Our students constantly tell us that the weeks of the courses are the most productive they have all year!

We give our students a feedback form at the end of the course for each subject that they are doing. No one else does this. This is how we have refined what we do. Because of the feedback over the years we have made changes. One small example is that we Increased the length of the breaks from 10 minutes to 15. That extra few minutes has made a big difference. That was a small tweak that helped students perform better.

Some bigger changes were as follows:

We changed the topics covered in many subjects. In some classes we have increased content in other we reduced it as we were going too fast.

We changed our notes. They used to be given out in loose A4 pages like they still are in other  centres. We now get our notes printed and bound into a proper book. These books are brilliant for pre exam revision.

Occasionally we have changed some of the teachers. Even the best wine eventually goes off. We listen to our students. This is an elite course, there is no room for reduced performance.

Even simple things like when does the heat go on and off.

We will not tolerate any poor behaviour. Because students know this we do not have any issues. We have students who want to work and who want to succeed.

Before the Course

Have a look at our timetable.

See which subjects might suit you.

Have a look at the content for each subject. We only cover the important topics and ideas that will make a difference in the exam in June.

Once you decide which one it is easy to book go here and follow the instructions.

What happens at the course?

We greet you at the door when you arrive. We check your booking and we provide you with a revise.ie wristband to give you access to your classes for the week. If you are not in class you can go to supervised study. We will have signs up for classrooms and study area,  but you can ask anyone of us and we will help you find where you need to go.

In each class on the first day you will be given a set of typed out quality notes to keep.

Each teacher will use their own techniques that they know works for their subject. They will go through in detail the topics that we have promised to cover during the course. You will be shown all the tips and tricks to succeed in your exams. You will be shown all the material you need to know and will be given so much practical advice that it will make a real difference.

Classes are all 70 minutes long.

There is a role taken at start of every class. If you miss a class a text message will sent to your parents/guardian.

We highly recommend that when you are not in class that you go to the study room where you will get a lot of work completed n a very strict and quite atmosphere. Phone use is strictly for school work only.

At the end of the course we give feedback forms at the end with simple but effect questions. Here are 2 of the important questions we ask.

How would you rate maths at revise.ie ?

Excellent Very good Good Poor

Give a reason for your choice

Would you recommend this course to a friend?

Simple as that. This is what is both useful for us and the teacher. We have completed 50 courses and we are proud to say that 100% of students say they would recommend our course to a friend..

Here are our prices. You can of course go to other centres and do their course which will not be as good as ours and pay a lot more for the pleasure.
