Every year Revise.ie runs a very successful Christmas Revision Course. Due to uncertainty and regulations surrounding Covid-19, we are taking this year’s course and delivering it through our online platform.
Online courses have started to become the norm for us and our students. Revise.ie ran a very successful Easter Revision Course in 2020 which was live and interactive. Feedback was phenomenal with students extremely satisfied with the course. Constructive feedback is something we are highly invested in, and we thank you in advance for taking the time to evaluate your experience while studying with Revise.ie.
We have some simple questions and answers for you here but if you have more questions please do not hesitate to ring 0860659817 with any further queries.
Who is it for?
The Christmas Revision Course is for Leaving and Junior Cert students. These students will be due to take their exams in the summer of 2021.
Where is it on?
It is all online. No need to leave the comfort and safety of your own home.
When is it on?
Course will begin on Monday the 28th to Thursday the 31st of December inclusive.
What time is it on?
Classes will take place between 9.20am and 5.50pm each day. Timetable is available on Revise.ie with your specific class times. Each class will be on at the same time each day.
How many subjects can I do?
This is completely up to you. You can do as little as 1 subject or up to as many as 6 subjects.
What is the Cost?
The timetable is available on www.revise.ie where you will also find the pricelist. We will not be beaten on either the quality or price of our Christmas Revision Course.
How does it work?
Once you have registered, you will be invited by email to register for your chosen class. This needs to be done as soon as you receive the email as the link will expire.
When registering, you must enter the correct student email address, as all correspondence is reliant on this. You will receive a reminder email an hour before class is due to take place. Some devices may require you to download the Zoho Showtime app. Please be prepared for this.
Classes are live and interactive when they take place; the teacher will share their screen with students and will be able to answer any questions student may have.
Are the classes recorded?
Classes are recorded, therefore if you miss a live session you can catch up on that session later. Even if you just wanted to go back over the session to see if you missed anything or to take extra notes you are welcome to do so if you want.
When do we get the recordings?
Once the class is over you will get the recordings with 24 hours.
How long will recordings last?
Recordings will be available until the Leaving Cert and Junior Cert Exams in the summer of 2021
Can you ask questions?
Of Course, this is the beauty of our live and interactive system. Once you attend a live class you can ask as many questions as you like. A chat function is available which only the teacher will be able to view. Type in whatever class related question you want to ask.
Will I be asked questions?
Not directly no, you may be asked to answer polls etc. but that is for the entire class and not individual.
Will I be named out if I ask a question?
Teachers will not mention student’s names during the session.
Is Maths A and B different topics?
Maths A and Maths B are considered 2 subjects when booking. Maths A is Algebra and Maths B is Trigonometry. You can participate in a slow pace class or a fast pace class. Fast pace is for those aiming to achieve a H3 plus. Slow pace is for anyone looking to pass and receive a grade up to H4
How will I receive notes?
If you book before the 8th of December you will receive a printed notes booklet via post. If you book after the 8th of December you will need to download notes which will be received via email.
