Our Teachers

Stephen Morgan

3rd, 6th Geography

Hi, I’m Stephen Morgan and I’m a Tipp man living in exile in Kilkenny with 8 years’ experience, I’m a geography teacher with 10 years’ experience, and I’m an ageing junior hurler whose mouth now moves faster than his feet, with life experience.

I am passionate about geography and believe that a better understanding of geography will lead to a better community, country and world for us all to live in. Geography is at the foundation of how humans live their lives; from our mountains and rivers to our economies and settlements and I hope to embed my students with a greater understanding and appreciation of how the world around us works.

My online classes will focus on the core elements of the leaving cert geography course focusing on physical and regional geography. All class notes will be based on specific essay topics and short questions that have appeared on past leaving cert papers.

Here is a brief sample of some of the topics that I look forward to sharing with you.

  • Plate tectonics
  • Rivers
  • The coast
  • Rocks
  • Karst landscape
  • Core & peripheral Irish regions
  • Core & peripheral European regions
  • The sub-continental region of Brazil
